NFL stars, a Hollywood A-lister, world champion boxer, golf legend, Boomers star and a NASCAR boss are poised to headline a stunning list of celebrities attending Sunday’s historic NRL double header in Las Vegas.

Speculation in America has NFL stars Travis Kelce, his Philadelphia Eagles brother Jason and Kansas City’s quarterback king Patrick Mahomes are considering attending the NRL season kick off at Allegiant Stadium.

It was the ground where Travis and Mahomes won the Super Bowl with the Chiefs two weeks ago.

This masthead can reveal Australian-born Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Jordan Mailata, who was in Vegas promoting the rugby league games, has been encouraging close mate and Philly teammate Jason Kelce to watch the matches live.

Sources say if Jason attends, Travis will join him. And Mahomes is Travis’ best friend.

Travis flew to Las Vegas after leaving Sydney last week, where he spent time with pop star partner Taylor Swift.

“Jordan is certainly working on Jason to go and if Jason goes, so will Travis,” a US source said. “They are characters and will have some fun together.

“And if Travis goes, so will Mahomes. Patrick is tight with Travis, I think they’re, like, best buddies.

“Travis has been in Vegas for the last couple of days. I know some PR people working on the ground in Vegas and they are 100 per cent saying that these boys are talking about coming to the game.

”Travis and Jason have also been talking, having some banter, about rugby league on their podcast (called New Heights) as well.”

Swift is performing in Singapore and couldn’t attend even if Travis did.

Legendary golfer and LIV Golf commissioner and CEO Greg Norman is a Queensland-born rugby league fan.

This masthead can reveal Norman’s agent has been notified about the NRL games with associates urging ‘The Shark’ to fly to Vegas.

American citizen Norman, with then partner Chris Evert, attended a Souths exhibition game against Leeds in Florida in 2008.

Former Manly lower grade Matt Astill, who once ran an Australian bar in New York, is great mates with Australian Boomers and Atlanta Hawks basketball champion Patty Mills.

Astill has told friends that Mills – a staunch Brisbane Broncos fan – is desperately trying to get to Vegas for the league matches.

Hollywood superstar Hugh Jackman will be there as a guest of Manly sponsors, Shaw and Partners.

News Corp chairman Lachlan Murdoch and News Corp chief executive Robert Thomson will watch the game live, as will Foxtel CEO Patrick Delany.

World champion boxer Tim Tszyu will be among the crowd along with Australia’s former NFL defensive end Colin Scotts.

American Major League Cricket vice president of corporate development, Will Swann, will also be a keen observer, as will ex-Test cricketer and Las Vegas resident Colin ‘Funky’ Miller.

NASCAR crew chief James Small will be among the massive Vegas crowd while former Swans champion Paul Roos, who now lives in Hawaii, is also attempting to be stateside for Vegas double-header.

The NRL continues to receive RSVPs for the famous NRL blockbusters.
