The scheduled NRL trial between the New Zealand Warriors and the Gold Coast Titans has been cancelled after south-east Queensland’s severe weather forced its postponement for a second time.

The match was due to be played at Redcliffe on Saturday but wet conditions led to the game being postponed and rescheduled for Monday night at the Gold Coast’s Cbus Super Stadium.

However, ongoing torrential rain has forced the game to again be shelved.

The Warriors – who are currently based in Queensland – released a statement saying the match won’t be rescheduled again.

The New Zealand team opens its season on March 12 against St George Illawarra at Sunshine Coast Stadium.

Gold Coast’s first game of the season is on March 13 at CommBank Stadium against the Parramatta Eels.
