Have Wests Tigers blown their chance of a repeat of last year’s Easter Monday miracle against Parramatta?

The Tigers claimed their first victory of 2022 in the corresponding fixture but our experts have tipped the struggling side to remain winless following the club’s latest gaffe involving the commemorative Anzac Day strip.

However, the doom and gloom doesn’t end with Wests Tigers, with coaches Anthony Griffin and Justin Holbrook just as desperate for a win to stave off the vultures.

Check out our round 6 expert tips and burning issues ahead of the five day Easter NRL marathon.

Round 6 Burning Issue: Mick Carayannis

While the Dragons and the Tigers have dominated headlines to start the year, the attention will shift to the Raiders if they are beaten convincingly against the in-form Broncos. Canberra will again be without Jack Wighton making it a tough ask.

Round 6 Burning Issue: Dean Ritchie

Big game for Parramatta. Should win but in danger of a repeat of last year’s Easter disaster against Wests Tigers. It’s been a spluttering start for the Eels, who desperately need to find some rhythm in their chase for a stretch of consistent footy.

Round 6 Burning Issue: Paul Kent

The Raiders let themselves down last week with a second half that went beyond awful, so let’s see what they turn up with Saturday against the undefeated competition leaders.

Round 6 Burning Issue: Brent Read

North Queensland were tipped by many to win then premiership but they need to turn it around fast to convince people of their premiership merits

Round 6 Burning Issue: Phil Rothfield

Huge game for Anthony Griffin and Justin Holbrook on the Gold Coast, two coaches that need a win almost as much as old Tim Sheens.

Round 6 Burning Issue: Peter Badel

Pressure is building on the Cowboys and alarm bells will be ringing if they drop another home game against the injury-hit Dolphins. Chad Townsend needs a big game to get the Cowboys rolling again.

Round 6 Burning Issue: David Riccio

Credit to the Warriors for failing to give up against the Sharks when down 20-0 nil. But that first-half defence was poor before Cronulla imploded. The Knights, at home, just might be able to spring an upset.

Round 6 Burning Issue: Travis Meyn

The Friday night Queensland derby in Townsville shapes as a massive game for both clubs. The Cowboys desperately need a win to remain in the top four hunt while the Dolphins are facing three straight losses following a strong start to the season.

Round 6 Burning Issue: Fatima Kdouh

The Tigers will need another Easter miracle if they’re to get one over the Eels. But Parramatta themselves will be hoping divine intervention will be on their side as they desperately try to reignite their premiership campaign

Round 6 Bold Prediction: Paul Crawley

Joey Manu to run 200m plus and score a try in his return to fullback to lead Roosters to victory win over Storm.
