Rugby league writers Michael Carayannis and Brent Read have broken down the top 50 powerful figures in the game and have landed on a clear-cut winner.
However the inclusion of star players in the top 10 — just behind powerful television executives — is sure to raise eyebrows.
The list was last compiled in 2017 and exactly half of those people — including Cameron Smith, Todd Greenberg and Cooper Cronk — no longer make the cut.
