The NRL Grand Final is locked in — with the Parramatta Eels set to take on the Penrith Panthers in an epic Western Sydney derby to close out the 2022 season.
The reigning premiers Penrith have lost just four games all year — two of which were to Parramatta — but they cruised past the Eels when they faced off in the first week of the finals.
Meanwhile, Parramatta will be looking to snap their 36-year premiership drought, after falling short in their last grand final appearance in 2009.
Here is everything you need to know ahead of the grand final on the first Sunday of October.
WHAT TIME DOES THE NRL GRAND FINAL START?
The NRL grand final will be held on October 2, 2022 at Accor Stadium in Sydney, with a kick-off time scheduled for 7:30pm local time.
GAME DAY SCHEDULE
Gates will open at Accor Stadium at 1pm on October 2, before the Sate Championship Grand Final kicks off at 1:30pm. The NRL Telstra Women’s Premiership Grand Final 2022 will kick off at 3:55pm. Pre-game entertainment will start at 6:30pm, before the NRL Grand Final starts at 7:30pm.
WHAT IS THE NRL GRAND FINAL PRE-GAME ENTERTAINMENT?
The NRL decider will be headlined by rock legend, Jimmy Barnes, with friends including Diesel, Josh Teskey, breakout Eurovision 2022 star Sheldon Riley and Australian hip-hop legends Bliss n Eso.
HOW TO WATCH, LIVE STREAM
The NRL grand final will be broadcast free-to-air exclusively on Channel 9, with a replay available on Foxtel after full-time. The game can also be live streamed on the free 9Now app, with replays available for streaming on Foxtel Go and Kayo after full-time

The Penrith Panthers came out on top of the South Sydney Rabbitohs in 2021, to claim their first premiership since 2003.
