The playing future of Dragons prop Tom Eisenhuth is uncertain due to repeated head knocks, the latest suffered in his comeback game in the NSW Cup last weekend.
In the most disappointing of circumstances, Eisenhuth endured the concussion just 30-minutes into the Dragons reserve grade clash with the Eels last Saturday.
It was his first game back after taking time away from NRL training under the direction of medical advice following a head knock during pre-season training.
Awarded the club’s Immortals Trophy in his first season as a Dragon last year, having not missed a game in 2024 and achieved career-highs in tackles (908), run metres (1,613), and offloads (23), Eisenhuth was given the all-clear to return to play last weekend after his extended period away from the game.
Working with medical professionals and the club, Eisenhuth will take another prolonged break with the hardworking forward’s long-term health the priority.
Eisenhuth’s unavailability will put further strain on the NRL squad’s forward depth following the recent departure of Francis Molo (Dolphins) and latest omission of Hame Sele (hamstring), Ryan Couchman (ACL) and Emre Guler (suspension).
