The good, the bad and the ugly form South Sydney's loss to the Panthers.

PANTHERS 

1. Dylan Edwards - Brushed aside an early error to deliver a strong showing. Safe as houses under the high ball. 8

2. Josh Mansour - Made uncharacteristics errors - including a play the ball error and a forward pass - but still finished with 228 metres. 7

14. Tyrone May - Hardly touched the ball in the first half but connected with Cleary to put the Panthers in front for the first time. 7

4. Stephen Crichton - A quiet night by his standards, limited to 35 run metres in the opening exchanges. 6

5. Brian To’o - Got a sniff of the tryline and made the most of it. Worked hard for his side. One of the best close range finishers. 7

6. Jarome Luai - Footwork and pace troubled the Bunnies right side. Even made a try-saving tackle 7

7. Nathan Cleary - Boot was lethal again. Pinpoint accurate kick for May’s try. 7

8. James Tamou - Ran hard every time he charged forward. 6

9. Apisai Koroisau - Busy around the ruck catching markers napping. Forced from the field with a shoulder injury but returned to close out the game. 8

10. James Fisher-Harris -  Cited for a careless high tackle. Made 145 metres. 7

11. Kurt Capewell - Nowhere near as much impact as Viliame Kikau but did his job. 5

12. Liam Martin - Menaced Cody Walker. Made 35 tackles one where he ironed out Liam Knight, but missed 5. 6

13. Isaah Yeo - Mr Consistency. Good support play and then set up Edwards for a try. 8 

INTERCHANGE

3. Brent Naden - Didn’t take the field 0

16. Moses Leota - Strong in his first stint. 6

17. Zane Tetevano - Big run metres off the bench. 7

18. Mitch Kenny - Forced into hooker after Koroisau’s injury. 6

RABBITOHS

1. Corey Allan - Injured in the second half, twice. Moved out onto the wing where he scored to keep Rabbitohs in it. 6

2. Alex Johnston - Made a try saving tackle on Stephen Crichton with the game on the line. Scored a four-pointer of his own. 6

13. Cameron Murray - Peppered by the Panthers left side attack. But played with impact when moved to the edge. 6

4. Dane Gagai - Best of the outside backs in defence. Then got his side back into the game with a try in the second half. 6

5. Jaxson Paulo - Beaten in defence in the first half but stayed on his man Mansour in the second stanza. 6

6. Cody Walker - Given no room to create opportunities. 6

7. Adam Reynolds - Huge first tackle play, a cross kick that led to an Alex Johnston try. Iced a crucial sideline conversion. 6

8. Tevita Tatola - Limited minutes, limited his impact. 5

9. Damien Cook - Made one real burst from dummy half, otherwise quiet. But a huge 50 tackles. 6

10. Thomas Burgess - Tried hard but looked out on his feet at times. 5

11. Jaydn Su’A - Work hard and threatened Penrith’s line when given the chance. 6

12. Bailey Sironen - Left the field after 30 minutes and didn’t return. 4 

15. Liam Knight - Worked hard.  5

INTERCHANGE

14. Mark Nicholls - Didn’t let an error at an important stage dampen his night. 5

16. Jed Cartwright - Tried hard when injected into the game. 5 

17. Keaon Koloamatangi - Made an impact playing from the pine. 7

19. Hame Sele - Made 86 metres off the bench. 6

The Rabbitohs are back with a chance after scoring one of the strangest tries of the season after Corey Allan running on one leg toed forward a shocking pass from Cody Walker into the in-goal to score.

Panthers 20 Rabbitohs 16 with 6 minutes to go.

The minor premiers are back in control, with Panthers gun Isaah Yeo showing off some brilliant footwork to break the line and put fullback Dylan Edwards through for a try.

Penrith lead by 8 points with 11 minutes to go.

Yeo may have just locked himself in for a Blues jersey here!

Panthers hooker Apisai Koroisau has been forced from the field after picking up a shoulder injury. He returned to the bench after a few minutes and could be a chance to return. It would be a massive blow if he was ruled out of a potential Grand Final appearance.

Rabbitohs forward & fill-in centre Bayley Sironen has been ruled out for the rest of the game with a knee injury.

Fullback Corey Allan also picked up a nasty looking cork to his quad, but ran it off and stayed on the field.
