St George Illawarra’s search for a backline utility will see them land Titans’ back Paul Turner.

Turner will join the club immediately for the next two seasons and will provide some much needed depth to their backline.

He comes as cover for the injured Cody Ramsay and the suspended Junior Amone. He can play in the halves or outside backs.

Turner, 22, has played 10 top grade games since making his debut for the Warriors in 2020 .

He switched to the Titans last year playing in seven games.

COMMENT: FINE DRAGONS DUO AND LET’S MOVE ON

by Dean Ritchie

Let’s all take a collective deep breath here, folks.

And can we lower our heart rate and blood pressure? Please. Just for Bulldog.

No, NRL players shouldn’t be drinking booze and engaging in a public altercation at 6am, all while in delightful Mudgee trying to promote our game.

And, yes, Mikaele Ravalawa and Zane Musgrove should be forced to apologise for their unnecessary and dunce-like dust-up in Mudgee.

This is a genuine news story about two players out drinking until the wee-hours before carrying on like boofheads.

But let’s not nail them to the cross.

We’re too quick to jump all over people these days because of that bloody PC mob, who cannot live without being outraged.

If I was in charge of the Dragons, I would tell the pair to pull their bloody heads in before pinching $5000 each from their wallets for charity.

I’d then tell them to go away and start focusing on some footy. Done and dusted.

In terms of rugby league atrocities, this is minor, even trivial. Two intoxicated blokes having a dust-up without any punches being thrown.

Whoop-de-do.

They have been exposed and embarrassed. That’s enough. Let’s not bay for blood.

Let’s move on, there’s really nothing to see here.
