Benji Marshall has no intention of quitting Wests Tigers and is privately filthy at suggestions that he is on the hunt to find another NRL club this year.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal that the Tigers legend was back training with the team on Monday morning and doing everything in his power to try and fight his way back into the team.

A media report suggested Marshall was being shopped around by his agent to gauge if there was any interest at rival clubs.

It also indicated that he could even be on the move in the coming weeks, with the NRL’s transfer deadline now pushed back to August 3.

But Marshall is said to be upset at the suggestions and is adamant that there is no way he is leaving the Tigers.

Marshall was a shock axing following the round four loss to Gold Coast given he had been one of the Tigers’ best throughout the opening rounds.

But following the Tigers 34-6 smashing of the Bulldogs on Sunday night it is only going to make it tougher for the 35-year-old to get back in the team to take on Penrith on Saturday.

Regardless, Marshall has set himself the challenge to get back in the team and finish off his career at the same club where it started way back in 2003.

He also hates the thought fans would think he’s walking around kicking stones because of coach Michael Maguire’s decision to drop him.

Marshall is off contract at the end of the season and still hasn’t decided if he will play on.
