THE Gold Coast Titans believe they have the facilities to become an NRL powerhouse after officially unveiling the $25 million development which could help them rocket into premiership contention.

Following two years in makeshift accommodation, the Titans will prepare for the 2017 season from their new headquarters at Parkwood Village.

The club’s administration and football operations are finally under the same roof and there is stability at a club which less than two years ago was on the brink of collapse.

“During the three years I’ve been here this is probably the most exciting day I’ve had,” Titans CEO Graham Annesley said.

“It sets us up for the future. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome.

“We were in a very precarious position at one stage. It was only when the NRL stepped in and took over the ownership was it we knew our future was secure.

“There has been a succession of rugby league teams (on the Gold Coast) over the last two or three decades.

“We’ve now finally given the people of the Gold Coast something they can have faith in.”

The high performance centre includes a full-size field built to the same standards as Cbus Super Stadium.

There is a lap-pool, ice baths, altitude chamber and locker room for the players.

After qualifying for the finals for the first time since 2010, Annesley is hoping the professional set up will help the Titans improve again next season.

“It’s no coincidence the teams who have been the most successful have been the teams that have used the least number of players in a season,” he said.

“How you prepare and rehabilitate players is incredibly important to the outcome of any NRL season.

“The depth and talent of our squad is equal to any in the competition.

“We will not necessarily have instant results but we’ll be here for the long-term.”

The Titans will open up their new facility to fans on Saturday afternoon.
