Monday Buzz: Cooper Cronk coaching at Roosters free of charge

Two-time Roosters premiership halfback Cooper Cronk has agreed to stay on at the club for free, while NRL heavyweights jump on the V’landys wagon - it’s all in Buzz’s weekend highlights and lowlights.

Monday Bunker: Buzz and Crawley fire up over Peter V'landys' NRL rule changes

Rugby league adapts to the new world, Cronk agrees to coach for nothing and just ten days left until the NRL returns.

Phil Rothfield covers it all in his weekend wrap of everything in the world of sport.

HIGHLIGHT

Support growing for one referee and the six-again call from ruck infringements. The great Gus Gould has jumped on board with Ricky Stuart and old Wayne Bennett. Even Dessie Hasler is now saying “let’s just get on with it”.

LOWLIGHT

The passing of one of rugby league’s most iconic figures, Arthur Summons. He was a great little halfback who so often proved size didn’t matter, even in the wild old days. Off the field he was a wonderful bloke and the most fabulous company at dinners and functions. RIP old fella.
