THEN there were two. The competition benchmark, the Melbourne Storm will do battle with this year’s Cinderella story, the Cowboys.

Michael Morgan put in another brilliant display to lead the Cowboys to their second grand final in three years. His opposite number in Saturday’s preliminary final, Mitchell Pearce, had no answer.

While Pearce will focus on next year, Morgan and the Cowboys will now take part in the most unlikely of grand finals.

And it wouldn’t be an NRL grand final without the dramatic storylines.
