Despite the talent across the board, Monday Bunker host Paul Crawley believes winger Blake Ferguson is the Roosters’ most important player leading into Saturday night’s qualifying final clash with Cronulla.

Ferguson has notched the most running metres of any player in the NRL this season with a monstrous 4,569m to his name.
Ferguson’s tally is almost 500m more than that of second-placed Jason Taumalolo.
According to Crawley, Cronulla can go a long way to causing a week one finals boilover if they can halt the momentum created by the veteran flyer.
“So much emphasis on the two fullbacks and the matchup between Holmes and Tedesco but I also believe that Blake Ferguson has been one of the Roosters’ best, if not, the best all season,” Crawley said.
“His starts to sets, if you can nullify that as Canberra did a few weeks ago and Brisbane also, if you can get numbers into the tackle on Blake Ferguson you can nullify their momentum.
“He’s so powerful, so athletic but also his fast play-the-ball, if they don’t get numbers into the tackle then their whole set just rolls on the back of it. “
