Manly’s quest to become a genuine premiership threat has taken another step forward with the Sea Eagles re-signing underrated cogs Sean Keppie, Brad Parker, and Reuben Garrick.

Fresh from the recent re-signings of Josh Schuster, Haumole Olakau’atu and Toafofoa Sipley, the Sea Eagles have locked in three quality young players.

Keppie was re-signed last August to the end of the 2023 season, but the club has rewarded him for his fine efforts this season by extending the deal out to the end of 2024.

He has quickly established himself as a key member of the Manly forward pack since making his NRL debut for the Sea Eagles in the final round of the 2019 season. He has now played 34 first grade games.

The re-signings of Parker and Garrick will see both remain at the Sea Eagles until the end of the 2023 season.

A proud Manly junior, Parker has taken his game to another level under coach Des Hasler.

A strong defensive centre and respected clubman, Parker has also shown his try scoring ability in 2021, crossing for six tries in 14 matches to date.

Garrick has enjoyed a stellar rise in the NRL after joining the Sea Eagles for the 2019 season.

A noted points scorer who can cover wing and fullback, he is sitting in second position for most premiership points this season.

Sea Eagles CEO Stephen Humphreys couldn’t be happier that the club has secured most of its playing roster.

“Our squad has performed really well over the last couple of months and begun to show everyone what we are capable of,’’ Humphreys said.

“Stability is an important ingredient of success at the elite level and so I’m thrilled, as I know all Sea Eagles members will be, that the majority of our squad will continue to work together and with Des over the coming years in realising their potential.

“I congratulate Sean, Brad and Rueben on their new deals which they have earned through their hard work, persistence and excellent performances.

“They are all perfect clubmen who give 100 per cent each and every time they pull on the famous maroon and white jersey and we love having them at Manly.”
