Josh Addo-Carr’s career at Canterbury is set to officially end after the Bulldogs issued the star winger with a show-cause notice on Friday.
The 29-year-old has been called in to front the club’s board next Thursday, where it is expected Canterbury will terminate his contract.
The development comes almost six weeks after accepting a $682 fine and three-month suspension from driving for allegedly testing positive to cocaine.
St George Illawarra have already signalled their interest in picking up the former NSW Origin and Kangaroos representative.
Addo-Carr has already been in discussions with the Dragons about the potential of a two-year contract, and it is understood his asking price is around $500,000.
He has been on a similar salary with the Bulldogs since joining the club in 2022 on a three-year deal, where he has played 52 games following his move from Melbourne.
Addo-Carr was spotted training at Redfern Oval on Friday morning.
