CANTERBURY will part ways with forward Greg Eastwood at the end of the season.

Eastwood’s manager Mario Tartak confirmed Eastwood was on the lookout for another club after being told he won’t be retained at the Bulldogs.

The former New Zealand Test representative is in talks with one NRL club, while a number of English Super League teams have expressed interest in his services.

“He (Greg) will be playing next year,” Tartak said.

“I’m in talks with a (NRL) club at the moment.

“Super League is definitely an option as clubs have enquired.”

Eastwood has played 167 games for Canterbury over eight seasons, including 15 tries.

The Auckland-born bookend is lucky to be playing this year after experiencing an irregular heartbeat during the pre-season.

Eastwood was on his way to training when he felt faint and dizzy. After visiting the specialist at hospital it was revealed he had major heart issues.

Despite this scary setback, he received the all-clear to play this season and has played eight games.

Eastwood, who is currently sidelined indefinitely with a calf injury, won’t be the only player to depart the Bulldogs at the end of the season due to the club’s crippling salary cap issues.

Josh Morris has agreed to a two-year deal with Cronulla, while brother Brett is being courted by the Roosters and his former club St George Illawarra.
