CHANNEL Nine started the post-Fatty Footy Show era on Thursday night and it wasn’t long before they ran into an embarrassing hiccup.
Having ditched the large-panel format hosted by 23-year Footy Show veteran Paul ‘Fatty’ Vautin, the show is now hosted by Erin Molan who is joined by four guests in armchairs.
On Thursday night, Molan talked footy with rugby league Immortal Andrew Johns, Penrith Panthers star Josh Mansour, Melbourne Storm star Billy Slater and Panthers great Ryan Girdler.
Things were going swimmingly until funnyman Beau Ryan came on stage to introduce his filmed segment and it quickly became apparent he didn’t have a chair to sit on.
Cue embarrassing scenes as viewers were then treated to the sight of Ryan kneeling awkwardly next to his fellow stars.
Viewers were quick to respond on Twitter:
Gave âall newâ #FootyShow a go. 10 mins in, one of the hosts is crouching on the stage because theyâve run out of chairs.
