BRONCOS coach Wayne Bennett has dismissed any concerns around Josh McGuire after the Queensland star failed to finish training on Saturday morning.
The Brisbane forward walked off the field about 30 minutes into Saturday’s session, reportedly complaining of tightness in his hamstring and back.
However, Bennett was confident McGuire will be fit for Sunday’s derby clash with the Titans at Suncorp Stadium.
“He’s all right,” he said after training.
“He had a bit of a sore back and just felt it tightening up a little bit.
“We’re all fit to play.”
Fellow forward Matt Lodge also has been cleared to play after missing Thursday’s session for a non-football related health issue.
It was a strong session from the Broncos on Saturday morning, as they prepare for a hurt Titans outfit.
The Gold Coast were thrashed 54-8 by the Dragons last week and Bennett said the Titans’ want to right their wrongs will make them dangerous on Sunday.
“They’ll be trying to get some respect back,” he said.
“It won’t be hard for them to be motivated.
“They’re always a danger but they’ll be trying to redeem their credibility after what happened last week.”
