Another Penrith game, another cringe-worthy Brad Fittler moment with Olympic gold medallist Jess Fox.

As the Panthers soaked up a historic fourth-straight NRL premiership, Fittler once again left viewers squirming in their seats over his interaction with the 30-year-old.

The former NSW coach was in the rooms to conduct interviews with the players for Channel 9, but it was his attempts to engage with Fox that stole the show for all the wrong reasons.

Fittler kicked off proceedings by showing off a limited edition Tooheys New beer bottle.

“Four in a row,” Fittler later said to camera, showing the commemorative beer bottle. “It says it on the beer. They’ve earned it.”

It was when he attempted to dish the beer off to an unsuspecting Fox that things went south.

“Jess, can you take that … you can have that, ” Fittler said.

Taken aback by the out of nowhere proposal, Fox turned and awkwardly rejected the offering as she said: “Umm … nah, nah”, before breaking into a chuckle.

Fittler then put the beer on the ground before continuing on with the Penrith local and diehard Panthers fan.

“I’m still working. Did you have a good night?” he asked.

Fox replied: “Amazing, it’s so special to be here and celebrate and yeah, it’s wonderful for Penrith and stoked for the whole team.

Fittler: “Will Penrith be pumping or what?”

Fox: “Absolutely. I can’t imagine what it’s like at the moment.”

Fittler then wrapped up proceedings as he said “great to see ya” before scurrying off to grab some Panthers players for interviews.

The moment however wasn’t overlooked by viewers who called out Fittler over the latest interaction.

One wrote on X: “Why is Brad fittler allowed to interview Fox again.”

A second added: “Oh f***! Fittler has gone at Jess Fox again. The most awkward tv of the evening. Someone tell him to stop!”

It’s now the second time Fittler has had a cringey moment with Jess at a Panthers game after he came under fire over a round 26 interaction.

The channel 9 presenter was called out over an inappropriate remark as he stood in the middle of Jess and her sister Noemie.

A pre-game interview was completely overshadowed by a stunning opening comment from the 52-year-old.

“I’m just waiting for kiss cam to come on … on me,” Fittler told viewers as he stood between the Fox sisters.

“It’s not happening.”

The remark instantly drew an embarrassed reaction from older sister Jess, who put her hand to her mouth and turned away from Fittler with a cringed look on her face.

Noemie meanwhile couldn’t believe she was live on air when Fittler followed up his remark by asking her, “do you like it?”

“The environment here, do you like the footy?” Fittler asked again.

“We’re live?” Noemie asked.

“Yes, we’re live,” Fittler replied.

“Yeah, I love the footy. Honestly, this is an amazing reception that we’ve received,” Noemie said.

While Fittler’s interactions with the Fox sisters continue to leave fans squirming, he left his fellow presenters stunned as he seemed to forget he was on the clock.

Cameras spotted Fittler sitting on a chair in the Panthers dressing room having a chat to Clive Churchill medallist Liam Martin, with a beer in hand.

The rest of the commentary team couldn’t believe their eyes and had a giggle at Fittler’s expense.

Host James Bracey: “We’ve been wondering where Freddy’s been to do his interviews. (He’s) chewing Liam’s ear off.”

Paul Gallen: “Look at him! He hasn’t even got a microphone in his hand, he’s got a beer!

“Have a go at him!”

Darren Lockyer: “Swapped the microphone for a Tooheys. He’d be telling stories about him back in the day”.

Cameron Smith joked Fittler would be telling Martin about his win “back in ‘91”, while Bracey joked his colleague would be telling Martin his glory came “before you were born, son”.

Smith quipped: “Is he going to be able to put two words together?

Gallen laughed: “They will have him covered. They just won four premierships straight. Settle down, champ.”

Bracey concluded: “Hopefully riveting interviews from that coming soon.”

Fittler ultimately completed his duties with the network as he spoke to Panthers players Liam Martin, Moses Leota, Lindsay Smith and Liam Henry.
