REPLAY: National U15's Boys Hockey Championships - WA Black vs ACT

The best young hockey stars from around the country were back in action for day three at the 2021 Australian under 15 boys and girls championships.

RESULTS AND REPLAYS

Boys, Pool B, Western Australia Black v ACT

This was a battle for a breakthrough win for both Western Australia black and the ACT.

Neither team had managed to put a win on the board until this match-up late on day three.

The ACT went 1-0 up in the 18th when Aiden Hellyer scored off a penalty corner.

The inform youngster then scored again off a corner in the 44th.

Finn Bell put Western Australia Black on the scoreboard in the 47th minute with a field goal.

With WA unable to penetrate again, it was the ACT who took the match 2-1.

Girls, Pool B, Northern Territory 0-2 Queensland Gold

Queensland Gold entered the match as favourites after two wins from their first three matches of the tournament.

Northern Territory were searching for their first success at the event.

In a low-scoring game, neither side were able to break through in the first half.

Tammin Andrew then hit the target in the 33rd minute to put Queensland ahead 1-0.

Talia Parry grabbed the match winner in the 54th minute.

REPLAY: National U15's Girls Hockey Championships - QLD Gold vs NT

Girls, Pool A, Tasmania 0-2 Western Australia Black

Western Australia Black went into the opening game of day three competition with one win from their three outings while Tasmania were still looking for their first success in Pool A matches.

On a decidedly chilly morning in Bathurst, Ella Frost took the Tasmanians by surprise with a great goal in the first minute of the game.

It was the only one of the first half of a well contested game of hockey. Teammate Darcie Farrow added the only other points off a penalty corner in the dying moments of the game.

REPLAY: National U15's Girls Hockey Championships - TAS vs WA Black

Girls, Pool A, QLDM 5-0 VIC

This was the much-anticipated match between the two undefeated sides in Pool A of the girls competition.

Both teams have been in fine form at the event with three wins from their three previous outings at Bathurst.

In windy conditions, Queensland Maroon gun Sophia Papantoniou slotted in a field goal in the 15th minute.

The youngster is one of the top goal scorers of the event.Ellie Kendall scored from the field in the 33rd with Kara Bradley following suit in the 47th and Papantoniou went in for her second in the 53rd.

Bradley scored her second in the 57th for her team’s emphatic 5-0

REPLAY: National U15's Girls Hockey Championships - QLD Maroons vs VIC

Girls, Pool A, NSW Blues 1-1 South Australia

A big match for the NSW Blues who need to win games to make the final section of this tournament.

NSW Blue went into this game with one win from three outings while South Australia were desperate to put first points on the table.

NSW’s Sienna Harvey was the opening scorer in the 33rd minute of the match.

Isabelle Hill then equalised for South Australia in the 47th to force the 1-1 draw.

REPLAY: Under 15's Girls National Hockey Championships - NSW Blues vs SA

Girls, Pool B, NSWS 3-3 WAG

Another top-of-the-table clash between the two most dominant teams in Pool B and it did not disappoint.

Both sides went into the game undefeated with three wins from the opening two days of the girls competition.

But it was Western Australia who came out with intent, with a penalty stroke conversion from Georgia Hiskins in the 22nd and field goal from Seraphina Andrew in the 35th giving them a strong 2-0 lead.

In a top-notch encounter, a third goal followed from Mischa Rodier in the 48th with NSW finally putting first points on the board via Ziggy Leong in the 53rd.

Martina Williams scored two minutes later to continue NSW’s comeback with a 60th minute penalty corner conversion from Lily Kable forcing a thrilling 3-3 draw.

REPLAY: National U15's Hockey Championships - NSW State vs WA Gold

Girls, Pool B, VIC Dev 2-1 ACT

There was plenty at stake in this match with both teams searching for their first win of the Australian championship tournament.

But it was Victoria who ended up claiming the match 2-1 thanks to a pair of second half goals.

With the game scoreless at the break, Claudia Trollope broke through in the 44th minute from the field with ACT gun Chloe Kemp retaliating 10 minutes later off a penalty corner to level the score.

Georgia Taylor then broke the deadlock, scoring off a penalty corner in the 56th minute to deliver Victoria Development the hat-fought win.

REPLAY: National U15's Girls Hockey Championships - VIC Development vs ACT

Boys, Pool B, QLDM 2-4 NSWS

NSW state went into this match as the only team with three wins in Pool B with Queensland Maroon also undefeated after two wins and a draw.

As anticipated it was a hotly-contested game between two teams who could well be vying for the gold medal later this week.

Cooper Mackenzie nailed the first of two Queensland goals scored within minutes of each other in the first half.

After watching his teammate produce in the 20th, Dominic Anderson then scored off a penalty corner.

While it was one-way traffic in terms of Queensland goals in the first half, NSW struck back in the second to level the score at 2–2 after Braden Sutherland and Joshua and Robson both scored off penalty corners in the 33rd and 35th minutes.

The NSW side then went ahead for the first time in the 38th thanks to a Oskar Smith penalty stroke.

Brayden Sutherland made it 4-2 in the 45th for NSW in a confidence boosting win for the state team.
