The Walters Cup grand final on Wednesday will be the curtain-raiser to the Langer Cup grand final between Palm Beach Currumbin SHS and Keebra Park SHS.

The qualifying of four schoolboy teams into grand finals follows Marsden SHS’s open women’s team making the Titans Cup decider.

Matthew Hartigan, Head of Department – Excellence, said it was a fine achievement by the youth teams.

“As a community, we are extremely excited by the opportunity to challenge for the title in all four junior grades,’’ Hartigan said.

“Each of these teams have worked very hard to get to this point and this will continue leading into the game.’’

However, having made the grand finals is only part of the job.

“We respect our opponents and we know that each of these fixtures will be very closely contested games,” Harttigan said.

“The Marsden community are super supportive and we can’t wait to see them all come together for this event.”
