Queenslanders dominated the Australian schoolboy rugby league team announced this afternoon. So who made the team? Story here.

Palm Beach Currumbin SHS has received a boost on the eve of tomorrow’s NRL Schoolboys Cup southern conference grand final with the naming of four players in the Australian schoolboys side.

Centre Deine Marnier (Broncos contracted), halfback Tom Weaver (Titans), prop Jack Cullen (Titans) and second rower Ryan Foran (Titans) were four of nine Queenslanders in the 17 man squad.

Kirwan SHS excitement machine Ragarive Wavik (Cowboys), Kirwan teammate Dudley Dotoi (Tigers), Agnatius Park lock Luke Jack and Keebra Park hooker and captain Blake Mozer (Broncos) made it.

Surprisingly Mozer missed out on a starting position, leading to the unlucky omission of a 10th Queenslander - PBC SHS dummy half Oskar Bryant.

Wavik and Dotoi are thrilling backline prospect, much in the same way another Kirwan SHS product Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow (Cowboys) lit up the Payne Cup competition.

Cullen and Foran are old school, hard nosed forwards while Jack is an elite middle forward who shone in the Meninga Cup before being a leading light in the Payne Cup.

Mozer is a dummy half young gun who reads the game beautifully and adds variety to attack around the ruck.

Interestingly PBC SHS’s opponents in tomorrow’s NRL Schoolboys Cup grand final, Marsden SHS, have no representation.

Most unlucky is captain and No.13 Chris Faagutu who has had a whale of a Langer Trophy campaign, while hulking prop Xavier Stowers has been a match-winner.

The team: Ragarive Wavik (Kirwan SHS), Dudley Dotoi (Kirwan SHS), Brandon Morkos (NSW), Deine Mariner (PBC SHS), MIchael Asomua (NSW), Tom Duffy (Ignatius Park), Tom Weaver (PBC SHS), Jaxson Rahme (NSW), Riley Smith (NSW), Jack Cullen (PBC SHS), Jock Brazzel (NSW), Luke Jack (Ignatius Park), Blake Mozer (Keebra Park), John Sagaga (NSW), Ryan Couchman (NSW), Lachlan Blackburn (NSW).
