Police are probing the mystery death of a bodybuilding champion who was found dead in a bar toilet after being “shot twice” with a handgun.
Grishall Disner, 23, left the table where he was drinking in Kows Bar in Mexico City on Wednesday night to go to the bathroom shortly before two gunshots were heard.

Horrified drinkers rushed to the toilet after hearing the shots where they found Disner with bullet wounds to the stomach and head, according to reports.
Everyone was evacuated from the bar shortly afterwards.
Disner was later declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
The police have been looking through CCTV footage from the bar and the surrounding area for any clues as to what happened.
It is thought that Disner “shot himself”, though the police continue to investigate alternate theories.
Some local media reports have said that Disner had been drinking heavily before he went to the bathroom.
Disner was a bodybuilding star, winning both the Mr America and Mr Mexico junior titles in 2023.
He was also a well-known fitness influencer, sharing gruelling training videos to his thousands of followers on Instagram and TikTok.
Since Disner’s death, many devastated fans have shared tributes on social media.
“You leave a great emptiness to everyone and to the people who surrounded you,” one tribute said.
Others called the fitness fanatic an ‘inspiration’ and said he would be greatly missed.
The bodybuilder’s dad is Jorge Disner, the city’s homicide commander in the Attorney-General’s Office.
Another beloved bodybuilder dubbed MeatAXE, Mark Taylor, died suddenly last week.
The 50-year-old suffered a medical emergency while driving his young son to a birthday party.
Despite efforts from paramedics to save his life, Taylor died before his wife could arrive at the scene.
