As the Australian Track and Field Nationals commemorate their 100th edition in Brisbane this weekend, it’s impossible not to reflect on the incredible talent that has graced the event over the decades.

Australia‘s track and field history is rich and storied, with a long legacy of producing some of the world’s top athletes, setting records, and achieving international success on the global stage.

To honour our exceptional athletes and pay tribute to the centennial celebration of the Australian Nationals, in association with Athletics Australia, we have compiled a definitive list of the top 100 track and field stars who have emerged from our great country.

Among the top 100 track and field athletes from Australia are some of the youngest rising stars and some of the oldest legends.

And so, we present the definitive list of our best track and field athletes to ever come out of Australia and the impact they continue to have on the sport today.
