It was the Booth double trouble which sparked state title glory for All Hallows School on a massive finals day at the Water Polo Queensland All Schools titles. Watch the REPLAYS.

A spirited performance from the Booth sisters, Olivia and Claudia, have delivered state title glory to All Hallows School.

The Booth’s combined for two goals down the stretch, and were dominant at the front for All Hallows, as they blasted past Loreto College Blue 9-2 in the Opens gold medal match at the Water Polo Queensland All Schools titles.

While they were impressive on the attacking end, with Australian junior development star Sofia Brodie showing her array of skills on the wing, it was the All Hallows defence that truly won the title.

The Brisbane side was dominant at the back, forcing several turnovers out of their rivals and pouncing on any slightly loose pass.

Loreto College Blue had to settle for the silver medal after a great tournament which included a dominant win over Sunshine Coast rivals Matthew Flinders Anglican College in the semi-finals.

The Opens gold medal win made it a double delight for Brisbane schools after St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School took out the gold medal in the middle school’s division.

A clinical performance from Annabelle Spall and Bless Daly has delivered the gold medal to St Margaret’s AGS at the Water Polo Queensland All Schools Championships.

Daly and Spall combined for more than half of St Margaret’s goals in a thrilling 9-6 win over Barbarians White in the middle school’s gold medal match.

St Margaret’s controlled the gold medal showdown for most of the clash, and had extended their lead to four goals at the half time break, off the back of strong work from centre forward Lucy Stewart.

But Barbarians refused to give up the fight, and fired their way back into the contest with a massive third term, as Laura McKinnon and Mia Doyle combined for three unanswered goals to reduce the deficit to one goal heading into a thrilling final term.

Daly, who had been lethal all game for the St Margaret’s side, sparked into action in the final quarter nailing two important goals to deliver the gold medal.

The best young female water polo talent in Queensland will take centre stage on Tuesday at the All Schools Championships.

For the second-straight year, KommunityTV will exclusively live stream select matches from the finals day of the annual schools spectacular.

The KommunityTV coverage, which focuses on the girls tournament at the Fortitude Valley pools, will include a massive day of finals action including both gold medal matches from the Opens and Middle School divisions.

The day’s action will get underway with quarter-final matches from both divisions and also includes positional play-offs across the day before closing out with back-to-back gold medal deciders.

All up 14 matches will be included in the coverage with begins from 8am, Tuesday.

The Water Polo Queensland All Schools championships involves school teams from across the Sunshine State.

Reigning champions St Rita’s College, who proved unstoppable in a 13-1 gold medal triumph against Brisbane Girls Grammar last year, will return to defend their title in the Opens division against some exciting challengers including All Hallows School, Brigidine College, Trinity Lutheran College and Matthew Flinders Anglican.

St Rita’s College will also be part of a stacked middle school division which also features Trinity Lutheran College, All Hallows, Moreton Bay College, Sunshine Coast Grammar, Brisbane Girls Grammar and Emmanuel College among others.
