The Australian Youth Water Polo Championships will take over the Wild West in January with games played across four venues in Perth.

KommunityTV will live stream all the action from the show pool at Perth’s HBF Centre.

The annual tournament has become a staple on the water polo calendar over the past three seasons, with juniors travelling from across the country to take part.

Future Olympians in the making will have an opportunity to push their claims in front of national pathways coaches and talent managers.

Junior clubs will compete in under-12, under-14, under-16 and under-18 divisions, which will be split across two five-day tournaments.

Brisbane’s leading ladies, Mermaid Water Polo Club, will again be one of the leading contenders across the competition after winning both the under-18 and under-16 women’s titles in 2022.

The Mermaids almost pulled off a clean sweep of the women’s gold medals, but narrowly went down to All Hallows in the 14-years decider.
