Top teams began to really stamp their authority at the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships on Monday. Watch replays of all 12 live streamed games.

Sydney University Lions have kept their U12 boys Gold winning streak at the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships alive following a dominant 11-6 win over Melville Saints on Monday.

Ben Hibbs’ first quarter hat-trick set the Lions up well for the rest of the match.

The result gives the Lions a good buffer at the top of the table to UWA.

An exciting opening quarter between Queensland side Mantas and local side Melville Sharks saw the scores level.

However, Mantas quickly showed why they’re one of the top teams, shooting out to a 4-2 lead by half-time that was extended to 10-3 by the end.

Eight separate Mantas players contributed to the scoreline, with Hugo Cooke and Xavier Ringholt recording two each.

The Hunter Hurricanes showed no signs of their first round loss as they thrashed Drummoyne Devils Black 11-1.

The Devils were on the scoreboard first with a goal from Isabelle Bannan but unfortunately couldn’t find the back of the net again, while the team battled with multiple exclusions.

The Hurricanes were a class above and showcased their teamwork, with seven separate players recording goals.

Meanwhile Mermaids White have maintained their strong start to the Under-16 girls competiton with a 15 demoltion job on Geraldton.

Aleesha Stuart was the star of Mermaids, scoring at least one goal in every quarter for a total of five throughout the game.

The result keeps White on top of their pool with an unbeaten record.

The Queenslanders are on fire at the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships.

AHS White, from the All Hallows School in Brisbane, pulled off a stunning come from behind victory against Richmond Tigers to keep their undefeated streak in the 16 girls Green division alive.

Trailing 2-0 after the first quarter, AHS recorded six unanswered goals ahead of the final quarter, with the Tigers unable to make up the deficit.

Despite a late Tigers goal in the final quarter, the AHS side held on to win 8-3.

Meanwhile a desparate battle to kickstart their tournaments saw Adelaide/Newman and Tasmania/Tritons go down to the wire in the under-16 girls.

While the girls from the Apple Isle trailed for majority of the game, it took a rocket from Millie Halliwell to bring the side to life.

A dominant fourth quarter helped the Tasmania/Tritons side overturn the deficit and break free for a 6-4 win, their first of the tournament.

The Lions are roaring loud and proud at the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships in Perth.

Both the Sydney University Lions and home club UWA Torpedoes under-12 boys came into their third round match undefeated, with strong victories in their opening clashes.

But only one club would remain undefeated, and the glory belonged to the boys from the east.

Young gun Phoenix Brown scored an incredible five goals for the Lions, on their way to down UWA 13-7.

Sydney Uni are set to take on Melville Saints in the fourth round on Monday afternoon.

Meanwhile Mantas scored their first win of the tournmanet in the under-12 boys thanks to a strong effort from forward Hudson Lynch.

The Queensland club came up against fellow winless outfit Melville Saints in the third round.

Lynch scored four goals as Mantas built and early four-goal lead and went on with it after the first break to claim a 14-5 win.

PREVIEW: NSW derby highlights huge day two of AYC action

The action heats up at the Australian youth water polo championships on Monday with some sensational battles being live streamed on KommunityTV.

On day two of the competition for 12 and 16 and under teams, 12 matches will be showcased, starting with the Sydney University Lions v UWA U12 boys clash at 11am (AEDT).

In a much-anticipated NSW derby, Drummoyne Devils Black will take on Hunter Hurricanes in the 16 girls Green division at 2.50pm (AEDT).

Another derby later that night will be the match-up between the Melville Saints and Melville Sharks in the 12 boys competition.

Another top club, Mermaids from Queensland, will have two matches streamed.

At 3:50pm (AEDT), Mermaids White will take on Geraldton in the 16 girls Green competition.

A 6.50pm (AEDT), Mermaids Pink will meet Melville Marlins in the 12 girls event.
