KommunityTV has finally arrived on The Weekly Times.

A staple of News Corp Australia’s wider metro masthead offering for the past two years, the KommunityTV brand is making the leap out into the regional, rural and remote landscapes of country Australia.

But what is KommunityTV, and what can The Weekly Times readers and digital subscribers expect to see?

We’re here to answer those questions.

WHAT IS KOMMUNITYTV?

KommunityTV is your golden ticket to watching the hottest rising stars, the aging veterans and the best weekend warriors of grassroots and local sport.

KommunityTV is News Corp Australia’s grassroots sports streaming service.

We deliver year-round coverage of a multitude of sports and events including, but not limited to leagues, state and national championships and one-off events.

WHAT SPORTS DOES KOMMUNITYTV COVER?

We have operated for several years amassing a sports portfolio which includes the best elite development competitions and leagues across the nation including the Herald Sun Shield and Coates Talent League in Victoria, the NRL Schoolboys Cup in NSW and Queensland, Basketball Australia’s National Junior Championships, Football Australia National Youth Championships and the state netball premier leagues in Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.

But that isn’t the only sport KommunityTV has covered in the past 12 months with events in athletics, swimming, rugby union, water polo and tennis to name a few.

HOW DO I ACCESS KOMMUNITYTV CONTENT?

From September 27, all KommunityTV content will now be accessible on The Weekly Times website by heading to the Live Streams tab in the sport section.

KommunityTV content is exclusively available at no extra charge to all new and existing The Weekly Times full digital subscribers.

Live streams, as well as extended editorial coverage of our events, will be accessible via the index page or through links on The Weekly Times social pages. You can also access live streams via the stand alone video player on the Live Streams page,- just make sure to put in your login details.

WHAT’S COMING UP ON KOMMUNITYTV?

The partnership between The Weekly Times and KommunityTV will kick off in top-gear with the best Aussie rules stars of yesteryear testing their mettle on the national stage in the AFL Masters National Carnival in Fremantle, WA.

The coverage then continues with the Tennis Australia Hardcourt Championships, Sydney International Cup soccer tournament, SANFL girls intrastate carnival and AFL Queensland Schools Cup all within the next month.

Throw in the start of the Northern Territory Football League (NTFL) season on a massive October long weekend, which runs the length of the summer and features gun footballing talent from all states and territories, and it is a smorgasboard of sport on the horizon.
