Peter Mulholland Cup live stream: Central Coast Sports continue first campaign with visit to Farrer

It’s two from two now for the Peter Mulholland Cup newcomers after a 12-point success over Farrer made the four-hour journey north all the more worthwhile. Relive all the action.

Replay: Peter Mulholland Cup Round 2 - Farrer MAHS v Central Coast Sports College

Central Coast Sports College’s perfect start to their inaugural Peter Mulholland Cup campaign has continued following a convincing 18-6 win over Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School.

Farrer got the perfect start thanks to Logan Spinks, who converted his own try to put the hosts 6-0 up.

Central Coast had three tries disallowed in the first half before finally getting on the scoreboard, with Xavier Singh levelling the scores heading into the break.

Another disallowed try to open the second half was frustrating, but the visitors kept coming and were rewarded when Anoar Wisham planted a try, with an assist from Singh.

Samisoni Talakai added another four points with eight minutes to go, while Chaice Bailey and Isaac Fotu-Moala shared kicking duties to ensure the Coast got full points.

The Coast will have the opportunity to top their group in their first-ever NRL Schoolboys season when they take on local rivals Hunter Sports High School on July 26, as part of a massive Northern Pool double-header.

All of the action will be available to stream LIVE on KommunityTV along with every match from the Peter Mulholland Cup.

PREVIEW

All Saints Maitland have certainly confirmed the form of Central Coast Sports College.

The Peter Mulholland Cup newcomers enjoyed a perfect start to their 2023 campaign by beating All Saints 20-16 earlier this month. All Saints backed up on Wednesday to hammer Hunter Sports 38-12.

Central Coast coach Michael Sullivan though knows Thursday’s match against Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School would be a ‘real test.’

Catch all of the action from the big clash LIVE on KommunityTV from 12.20pm as part of our season-long coverage.

Farrer, like they did in their narrow defeat to Hunter Sports last week, will have the home field advantage, with much of their school set to turn up to cheer on their side.

Hunter struggled to contend with it at times last week and Sullivan has primed his team for a noisy welcome.

“We know Farrer has a decent home following,” Sullivan said.

“So we just have to apply ourselves.

“I’d like to think it’s going to be a pretty close match, so we’ve got to capitalise on all the opportunities we create.”

One major difference in the squad heading to Tamworth will be the absence of captain Cody Thomas, who will be replaced by Devonte Vaotu’ua, and Sullivan said how the team ‘fills that void’ will be crucial to their performance.

“He brings a lot of energy and a lot of discipline and how we cope without him will be essential to how we perform,” Sullivan said.
