Two draws on Day 2 in U16 Group B made it no clearer as to which teams two will get out of this group as defensive structures seemed the order of the day.
Western Australia remains on top courtesy of a 1-0 win on Day 1 of the National Youth Championships, but couldn’t break clear out Queensland White (1-1) in their second match.
While Victoria Silver, who were down a player with Marcus Bei was red-carded, played out a real dour defensive affair with NSW Metro Navy (nil-all).
Western Australia will take on NSW Metro Navy and Queensland White meets Victoria Silver to see who processes to the next phrase.
NSW Metro Navy sit at the top of their U15 Group B after registering their second successive win with a 1-0 result over Victoria Silver.
Orson Conroy delivered the decisive blow.
Their latest victory follows a 2-0 result over Queensland White on Day 1 and has them well placed to top the group.
Queensland White bounced back from the defeat to the Group B leader with a 1-nil result against Western Australia to stay in the hunt for a place in the second round.

Group B of the U16 National Youth Championships is proving to be a tough one to call.
Western Australia barely got the win over Victoria Silver on day one, with a late Cristiano Farfan match-winner all that separated the two sides.
NSW Metro Navy and Queensland White meanwhile were unable to find a winner in their opening match to draw 1-1.
The results set up two must-watch matches at JJ Kelly Park on day two, with Queensland White taking on Western Australia before Victoria Silver face NSW Metro Navy.

Western Australia could be the dark horses of the competition with the team lead by former Perth Glory coach Kenny Lowe while A-League legend Liam Reddy coaches the young goalkeepers.
The team also features exclusively Perth Glory academy players as well as two U16 Joeys members in Alex Bolton and Christian Pullella.
