With finals looming large, two rising stars of the female game continued their impressive scoring feats as North Queenslandf and Tasmania pulled off big wins. Catch up on all the REPLAYS.

It’s five wins from five matches now for Queensland North girls at the BA U16 Nationals after a brilliant all-round performance from Isabele Smith proved too much for NSW Country.

Smith scored 29 points, including four three-pointers, took down eight rebounds and dished out three assists as Queensland North romped to a 77-54 success.

After wins over Victoria Country, Tasmania, Northern Territory and Western Australia Country, Queensland North are well on their way to sealing top spot for the quarter finals.

They face South Australia Metro in the final pool game on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Matilda Neate added 25 more points to her impressive week of work to lead Tasmania to a 92-31 win over Northern Territory.

Neate is now averaging 20.25 points per game, with only Olivia Olechnowicz (Queensland South) and Daisy Hocking (SA Country) in front of her.

With their backs against the wall, Tasmania and the Northern Territory will be looking to charge towards at the girls quarter-finals at the Basketball Australia U16 National Championships on Day 5.

Tassie will be chasing their second win of the tournament and the NT their first when the face off from 10am on Court 1.

It looms as a must-win game for both sides as the ladders in each pool continue to take shape ahead of the last eight knockout stage.

Tasmanian captain Matilda Neate has shouldered a large part of the offensive load for her side through their first three games highlighted by 28 points in the win over WA Country.

Currently averaging 20.5 points, five rebounds and two assists per game, Neate will be key in helping her side push towards the final eight.

Brydee Mcpherson and Kirra Munns are coming off strong games in the loss to SA Metro on Tuesday and will add some offensive power.

Arabella Dietz and Ella Merceica loom as the key players for the NT.
