WYONG INSIDE MAIL

RACE 1: MAIDEN PLATE (1630m)

Jolly Good Fellow was first-up at Warwick Farm when he shifted out a little late to bump his stablemate Le Troisir when finishing fourth behind Iceman and Bengal. He will take improvement from the run. Think Romance resumed at Newcastle with a half-length third to subsequent Group 1 placegetter Firm Agreement before a safely held third to Powers Of Opal at Hawkesbury last start. Won’t be far away. Blacklist raced keenly when fourth to Powers Of Opal at Hawkesbury. Was a close third to West Indies at Kembla before that.

Bet: Jolly Good Fellow to win

RACE 2: SUPER MAIDEN PLATE (1100m)

Revolt is a debutant by Russian Revolution from a granddaughter of Shantha’s Choice (dam of Redoute’s Choice). Showed good speed to lead and win both recent 900m trials at Rosehill, the latest on Oct 18 by over a length in 53.81sec. Shalaa Gold had strong form in his first campaign with a second placing behind Emirate over 1000m and to Private Life over 1100m. Was third to Revolt in his first trial back and won his second on Oct 18. Gunroom ran well for second to Lady Zodiac on debut here.

Bet: Revolt to win

RACE 3: MIDWAY MAIDEN HANDICAP (1000m)

Private Harry is a debutant by Harry Angel from the family of Arkady. Has had five trials and won four including his latest at Newcastle on Oct 22 by over four lengths in 55.26sec, the fastest of the day. Wide gate the only query. Emery started a $2.10 favourite on debut when a four length sixth behind Shoutaboutit but had genuine excuses. Raced three back on the rails and couldn’t get a clear run in the straight before being severely checked. Straand Beauty was runner-up to Manos last start

Bet: Private Harry to win

RACE 4: F&M CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1200m)

Phenom was spelled after her debut eight on the Kensington in March. Resumed with a smart two length all-the-way win from Ningaloo Reef in the Super Maiden at Port Macquarie on Cup Day. Showed good speed to lead from gate 10 that day. Obscure looked to have her chance when a length third to Gai’s Artist two weeks ago. Beat Flying to win her maiden on a heavy track at Kembla before that. Perfumist will be better for her first-up second at Bathurst. Drops to 52kg with the claim.

Bet: Phenom to win

RACE 5: CG&E CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1200m)

Bartolf started an odds-on fav on debut and duly saluted from Puerto Banus at Scone in July but disappointed when sixth at Randwick 11 days later and was spelled. Nice trial win at Hawkesbury on Oct 14. Can kick off this prep with a win. Llewellyn wasn’t disgraced when beaten less than three lengths by Alabama State in a Bm72 Midway over 1400m at Rosehill last start. Back to 1200m where the tempo should suit him better. Zouprince will be improved by his first-up fourth to Fire Star at Warwick Farm.

Bet: Bartolf to win

RACE 6: BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP (1000m)

Reigning King led all the way to score back-to-back wins from Fire Star here and over Akaka Falls at Newcastle. Stepped up to a BM80 at Eagle Farm when eight to Appin Girl. Back to a Bm68 and gets in well with 58.5kg after the claim. Lady Shenanigans has placed fourth in both run since his wide run in a Rosehill Highway. Was a close second to Hi Dubai at Canterbury before that. Propel Motion resumes here and has placed in all three first-up runs.

Bet: Reigning King to win

RACE 7: BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (2130m)

Oakfield Hawk put three wins together last campaign once he stepped up to 1900m and beyond. Has come back this time in with two very good runs at Newcastle and Hawkesbury. Third-up now and will give a great sight from barrier one. Cormac T worked sat outside the leader when fourth to Behind The Storm first-up then was wide without cover when seventh to Green Belt on the Kensington. Celestial Fury is back in grade and ready to peak third-up as steps up to a suitable trip. Good each-way chance at odds.

Bet: Oakfield Hawk to win

RACE 8: BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (1630m)

Oakfield Prince battled away when sixth to Boncassie in the Sawtell Cup over 1300m at Coffs Harbour second-up before a fourth to Agirlsbestfriend over 1500m at Port Macquarie. At his peak now, will appreciate the 1600m and has finished first and second in both runs this track and distance. Physicist made up ground on the fence when eighth to Bullets High first-up. Extra trip suits. She’s Got Veuve has claims.

Bet: Oakfield Prince each-way
