Racing heads to Horsham on Sunday for its Cup meeting and I’m keen on a Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained mare to take it out.
HORSHAM
BEST BET
Supagirl (Race 7 No. 5)
Handy mare from the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott yard that gets her chance to break through for a win. Gets here with a good fitness benefit third-up from a spell and from barrier five, Linda Meech can go straight to the front and make every post a winner.
NEXT BEST
Keitany (Race 1 No. 4)
The last start run at Moe had plenty of merit when covering ground in the run and only being beaten half a length. Drawn a better barrier here and the extra 200m suits.
VALUE BET
Vasmee (Race 7 No. 1)
Has had excuses at his last two starts so if you’re willing to forgive, Vasmee can bounce back and at a good price. Gets a good drop in grade here too and from barrier four, he maps to get all the favours in the run.
SEYMOUR
BEST BET
Sans Doute (Race 7 No. 7)
Te Akau galloper that was good at her Australian debut when second to Frilled at The Valley. Draws barrier three here for Blake Shinn and with scope to improve, the Mark Walker-trained mare can score.
NEXT BEST
Disselation (Race 3 No. 1)
This Greg Eurell galloper comes here in good form having last been seen running second to the handy Basilinna. Draws to do no work in the run for Group 1 winning jockey Daniel Moor.
VALUE BET
Never Again (Race 5 No. 2)
This is the easiest race Never Again has run in for quite some time. Didn’t have a whole lot of luck last time out in the Listed Ansett Classic but back in grade and with a few weeks to freshen for the shorter trip, he can break through.
