Herald Sun form analyst Gilbert Gardiner takes a look at Friday night’s meeting at Cranbourne.

BEST BET

THE MANSMAN (R3 No.7 – $1.90)

Nice run last-start second at Geelong and with natural improvement should be hard to beat. Drawn out but respect the stable placement.

NEXT BEST

HURRICANE KETUT (R2 No.4 – $3.70)

Placed four of seven starts including the past two. Finds a winnable race and deserves to breakthrough.

VALUE BET

AMAHLE (R4 No.6 – $8)

Four-start maiden but finished strongly last start at Bendigo. Should be hard fit with three runs under the belt and capable of a big effort on the home deck.

MISS KEELER (R7 No.7 – $14)

Doesn’t win out of turn, three of 23 but placed 12 times. Placed the past two starts. Wide draw but has weight relief with Luke Cartwright aboard.

THE JOCKEY

JYE MCNEIL

PRESIDE (R1 No.4 – $3.50), YOUR SHOUT GINGIE (R1 No.12 – $15), AMAHLE (R4 No.6 – $8), STORMY GREY (R5 No.4 – $3.80), CYCLONE HARMONY (R6 No.4 – $2.30) and MARGIE’S BOY (R8 No.1 – $4.40).
