Mississippi Maggie gets back to her home track after a good effort when narrowly beaten at Kilmore. The extra trip won’t worry her and she’ll be hard to beat.

NEXT BEST

COOL HEART (Race 7 No. 1 – $2.70)

Cool Heat was too good when resuming at Mornington and has been kept fresh for this. Expecting another strong performance from barrier one.

SIGNAL (Race 8 No. 1 – $3.60)

Signal went to the paddock with two synthetic wins to his name but he’s shown enough talent on the turf to suggest he can resume a winner at Mornington.

VALUE BET

GLOBAL KING (Race 4 No. 3 – $10)

Global King wasn’t far away in a similar race at Mornington and should have every chance again. He’s a solid each-way play at double-figure odds.
