Jumping to 2400m will suit a consistent mare in the last race while a $15 chance could produce a minor upset earlier in Wednesday’s Sandown meeting.

BEST BET
SMOKIN’ PRINCESS (Race 8 No.6 – $5.50)
Smokin’ Princess ran on solidly over 2100m at Sandown last time out, indicating she is ready to step up to 2400m on Wednesday.
NEXT BEST
MISS ICELANDIC (Race 4 No.6 – $7.50)
Miss Icelandic was outsprinted when back to 1000m last Wednesday. She’ll be fitter and the seven-day back-up would not be an issue.
FIOREEN (Race 7 No.7 – $10)
Fioreen won first-up before fighting on well in heavy ground last time. No reason she won’t be thereabouts again third-up.
VALUE BET
PACHINO (Race 2 No.1 – $15)
Pachino resumes on Wednesday but has sound first-up form and races well on the Hillside track. He could surprise fresh.
THE JOCKEY
JAMIE KAH
Jockey Jamie Kah has five rides at Wednesday’s Sandown Hillside meeting. CHERISH THE DAY (Race 1 No.12 – $8), WALK OF FAME (Race 3 No.5 – $7.50), BOYS NIGHT OUT (Race 6 No.11 – $18), MINAMISHIMA (Race 7 No.8 – $7.50), GOLDEN CRUSADER (Race 8 No.2 – $6).
