Herald Sun and Racenet form analyst Brad Waters looks at Tuesday’s Ballarat Synthetic meeting.
BEST BET
JUST WATCH ME (Race 5 No. 11 - $5)
Just Watch Me chased honestly in tough conditions at Warrnambool first-up and drops in class for this. She’ll be harder to beat this time.
NEXT BEST
PEERLESS LAD (Race 3 No. 5 - $3.30)
Peerless Lad ran a much better race at Ballarat last start and will be hard fit for this. Blinkers going on will help him.
GOLDEN DAY (Race 7 No. 11 - $7.50)
Golden Day improved when close-up at Donald second-up and won her maiden on the synthetic track. She’ll go close on Tuesday.
VALUE BET
SHEEZA TILLY (Race 8 No. 9 - $12)
Sheeza Tilly led and gave a great sight on this track last second-up and will be fitter for that. She’ll be harder to run down over her favourite trip.
THE JOCKEY
Jockey Blaike McDougall has a book of six rides at Ballarat. OMAHA DAWN (Race 1 No. 6 - $6), MAGURRY (Race 2 No. 3 - $5.50), BOYS NIGHT OUT (Race 3 No. 1 - $21), DUNLOE (Race 5 No. 9 - $2.60), TURIN (Race 6 No. 7 - $14), HAATHER (Race 8 No. 6 - $4).
