Lindsay Park would prefer to split two-year-old fillies Jenni’s Meadow and Dreamwriter than go head-to-head at Flemington on Saturday.

Dreamwriter, runner-up in two hot form races, is an emergency for a 1200m maiden at Geelong on Thursday.

The Written By filly, trained by Ben, JD and Will Hayes, needs two more scratchings to sneak into the race.

“If she gets a run at Geelong we’ll probably run there,” co-trainer Will Hayes said.

Jenni’s Meadow is second-up on Saturday and suited by the rise in distance to 1200m.

The Brutal filly resumed over 1000m at Sandown a fortnight ago and saved her best for late in the piece.

“We were very happy with her first run back, she’ll very competitive second-up and slightly out in distance,” Hayes said.

“We’re very happy with the way she’s trained on … at 1000m they were very sharp, a couple sharp horses in the race.

“She was ridden perfectly by Declan (Bates) to be in her comfort zone and really the last 100m was the best part of her race.”

Jenni’s Meadow is a $4.40 second favourite with TAB behind $3.40 favourite Pisces, trained by James Cummings.

“She’s a talented filly (Jenni’s Meadow) and I think she’s very well placed.”

Dreamwriter, a $17 chance with TAB on Saturday, has struck Angel Capital and Interest Point in her first two race starts.

Angel Capital has raced well in stakes company in Queensland since, while Interest Point saluted at Caulfield last Saturday.

Heinous, who finished third behind Angel Capital in the Cranbourne maiden, won the race Jenni’s Meadow resumed in last start.

“You can’t fault the form around her (Dreamwriter),” Hayes said.

“Wherever she goes she will be competitive.”

Dreamwriter is a $5 chance with TAB at Geelong.
