Herald Sun and Racenet form analyst Brad Waters looks at Tuesday’s Ballarat Synthetic meeting.
BEST BET
EASY ROAD (Race 4 No. 3 – $3.30)
Easy Road is racing in great heart and wasn’t far away on this track last time. He won’t have to improve much to break through on Tuesday.
NEXT BEST
MAGIC MADONNA (Race 2 No. 7 – $5)
Magic Madonna only had one run in the spring but her debut campaign was solid. Her last jumpout at Kyneton indicated a good first-up run was likely.
DREAMWOMAN (Race 5 No. 5 – $3.60)
Dream woman was good too in this class last time out and she’ll be fitter again. No reason she won’t be thereabouts again.
VALUE BET
GREENHILL PRINCE (Race 6 No. 6 – $10)
Greenhill Prince is up in class but he won well on the synthetic track last time out and races well over 1200m. He could measure up.
THE JOCKEY
Jockey Blaike McDougall has a book of five rides at Ballarat on Tuesday. CAPTIVATE LEGEND (Race 1 No. 8 – $8), WILD AND FREE (Race 2 No. 12 – $7.50), IL AMERICANA (Race 3 No. 8 – $8), MADAGAN (Race 4 No. 5 – $6), or THE KINGS GOSPEL (Race 4 No. 6 – $9), CORNER OFF (Race 6 No. 10 – $3.90).
