The three-day May Racing Carnival kicks off at Warrnambool on Tuesday and there has been solid support for quite a few runners across the 10 races on the card.

The feature race on the opening day of the carnival is the $175,000 Brierly Steeplechase (3450m), a race regarded as the Cox Plate for jumpers.
