Immediacy, the unbeaten Victorian rising star, can be the thorn in a trio of crack Group 1 colts sides in Saturday’s $750,000 Rosehill Guineas (2000m) at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday.
Cranbourne trainers Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young are hoping their brilliant winner of three from three starts is up to the challenge as he prepares take on the big guns on a massive Group 1 raceday in Sydney.

Victorian Derby hero Riff Rocket, Spring Champion Stakes victor Tom Kitten as well as King Colorado headline a strong field of 12 runners for the three-year-old Classic.
“Riff Rocket and Tom Kitten (as well as King Colorado) are Group 1 winners so Immediacy is going to have to step up to their level,” Busuttin said.
“He is untapped. Where his ceiling is, we will find out on Saturday I guess but he was very impressive visually when he let down at Caulfield last start.
“Hopefully he can do that again. Everything suggests 2000m is going to be to his liking.”

Immediacy has got better with every start in his maiden preparation with wins at Cranbourne and Sandown Hillside followed up by a dominant triumph in the Group 2 Autumn Classic (1800m) at Caulfield on February 24.
Busuttin and Young elected not to come up to Sydney for the Randwick Guineas with Saturday’s assignment at the top of their wish list.
It will mean Immediacy heads into his toughest test to date a month between runs.
“He had a jumpout the reverse way on Monday a week ago and he jumped out very good,” Busuttin said.

“We have no complaints whatsoever. A month between runs won’t worry him.
“He was five weeks between runs heading into his last run and is only a very lightly framed horse – a rangy New Zealand type that doesn’t need much racing.”
Immediacy, to be ridden by Luke Currie, is a $6.50 chance for the Guineas with Tom Kitten ($3) shading Riff Rocket ($4) favouritism.
Trainer Chris Waller had also accepted with Riff Rocket in the Group 1 $1m Ranvet Stakes while stablemate Militarize will line up in the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m) instead.
