News Corp form analyst Brad Waters looks at Thursday night’s Pakenham meeting.
BEST BET
XTRA STORMY (Race 5 No.5 – $5)
Xtra Stormy showed good ability in three spring runs and has had more time to develop. The 1400m will be perfect for him first-up.
NEXT BEST
OIL’ MATE ALTONY (Race 1 No.5 – $2.90)
Ol’ Mate Altony gave too much start but ran on well around the tight Stony Creek circuit last time. Getting to 2500m on the big Pakenham track will be perfect.
AIMING (Race 8 No.10 – $5)
It took the promising Sea What I See to beat Aiming at The Valley and that form has held up well. She’s hard-fit and should go well again.
VALUE BET
ZILZIE LAD (Race 7 No.4 – $9)
Zilzie Lad ran on well when not far away on this track last time out and drops in class for this. He’s worth though here.
THE JOCKEY
ETHAN BROWN
Jockey Ethan Brown has a book of six rides at Pakenham. MISS GREYSFULL (Race 1 No.9 – $26), ZOURAIN (Race 2 No.12 – $9.50), WIREWALKER (Race 4 No.9 – $23), DEROZARIO (Race 5 No.6 – $9), MASTER RIGHT (Race 7 No.2 – $10), AIMING (Race 8 No.10 – $5).
