RACE 5: LISTED CHAUTAUQUA STAKES (1200m)

$50 win ARKANSAW KID (3) $2.10

Resumed a winner at Caulfield, first-up as a gelding, and ready to show best on the racetrack now. Lindsay Park has always held the galloper in high regard but he seldom brought trackwork to the races before the ultimate gear change. Small field ideal on Saturday and should be able to zip around the leaders at the business end of the race. Big spring ahead for the four-year-old Harry Angel sprinter.

RACE 7: LISTED McKENZIE STAKES (1200m)

$25 each-way ANGEL CAPITAL (7) at $6/$2

Like PUBLIC ATTENTION (3), went super on debut to win at Caulfield, but mindful the tight track could make the big striding galloper slightly vulnerable. Angel Capital should have the drop on the speed and as long as you’re able to make ground at The Valley on Saturday the Clinton McDonald-trained colt could be too slick on fresh legs. Angel Capital has an electric turn of foot, good enough if close enough and from barrier six should stay out of any traffic.

RACE 9: GROUP 1 MOIR STAKES (1000m)

$50 win ESTRIELLA (6) at $3.90

Surprised the market has cooled on her a bit as Estriella trialled superbly ahead of the Group 1 Moir Stakes and could be too sharp for her opposition around The Valley on Saturday. Expect the Ciaron Maher-trained sprinter to dictate the race under champion jockey Blake Shinn and take plenty of catching late. If Estriella and favourite LADY OF CAMELOT go too heard too early, watch for I WISH I WIN (1), HAYASUGI (9) and JOHNNY ROCKER (3) late.

RACE 10: BENCHMARK 84 (1200m)

$25 each-way SUPARAZI (1) at $14/$3.70

Stiff not to win first-up at The Valley a fortnight ago. Bailed up on the rail inside horses and worked into the picture only for Extratwo to burst through and win. Extratwo franked the form last Saturday placing third in the Group 3 Cockram Stakes. Suparazi has yet to win at The Valley but placed in four of seven starts at the venue. Favourite PIASTRI (10) the biggest threat obviously, won three of his past four starts.

QUADZILLA

LEG 1 - RACE 7

PUBLIC ATTENTION (3) looks the horse to beat despite a tricky low draw for the big striding colt, who won with authority on debut at Caulfield where he travelled three wide without cover and still proved too strong. Form out of that race has already been franked with runner-up Ndola winning comfortably at Sandown. EPIMELES (2) the danger, drawn barrier one and inside Public Attention. Wide open race outside the top two, ANGEL CAPITAL (7) a knockout chance.

1ST LEG: 2, 3, 7

LEG 2 - RACE 8

PERICLES (2) has gone 12 months without a win – saluted on the corresponding card in Sydney last year – but raced exceptionally well, almost exclusively in the Group 1 arena. Up against hard-fit horses here but should be too classy. DEVOTED (11) could run a cheeky race third up with Mark Zahra aboard. POUNDING (7) not without a chance of running into the money, won two of five starts at the track.

2ND LEG: 2, 7, 11

LEG 3 - RACE 9

ESTRIELLA (6) has the speed, class and pilot Blake Shinn to get the job done on Saturday at The Valley. The Ciaron Maher-trained speed machine should be too fast and too good despite a wider than ideal draw, barrier eight of nine. Blue Diamond winner HAYASUGI (9) has returned in fine fettle and could challenge with her light weight 50kg. Don’t overlook. I WISH I WIN (1) to finish like a train behind a hot speed. LADY OF CAMELOT (8) next best.

3RD LEG: 1, 6, 8, 9

LEG 4 - RACE 10

PIASTRI (10) has won three of four and placed third in four starts this time in. Scratched from Sydney to race at The Valley, could be too sharp around the track. SUPARAZI (1) was bailed up inside horses first-up at The Valley but well ridden by Tayla Childs to get into the money, found only one better. Yet to win at The Valley but placed in four of seven starts. MISS ARIA (8) must be respected back from a short freshen. The Zoustar mare has finished inside the top four the past seven starts, including three wins.

4TH LEG: 1, 8, 10

COST $100 FOR 92%

SKINNY QUADDIE

Start with EPIMELES (2) and PUBLIC ATTENTION (3). In the second leg take PERICLES (2) one out. Then in the third leg take I WISH I WIN (1), ESTRIELLA (6) and HAYASUGI (9). Come home with SUPARAZI (1) and PIASTRI (10).

1ST LEG: 2, 3

2ND LEG: 2

3RD LEG: 1, 6, 9

4TH LEG: 1, 10

COST $100 FOR 833%
