BEST BET
CAPE DOCTOR (Race 7 No. 3 – $3.60): The Symon Wilde-trained gelding has returned with two excellent efforts this time in. He’ll be hard to hold out at Ballarat.
NEXT BEST
PODARGONI (Race 2 No. 6 – $5): Chased solidly on debut at Stony Creek last time. Blinkers go on for this and can improve with race experience.
MR BUTT’S BOATS (Race 3 No. 2 – $12): The locally-trained galloper bumped into a promising type at Ballarat last time out. Expecting him to go close despite an awkward draw.
VALUE BET
SACRIFY (Race 8 No. 11 – $14): The three-year-old is showing staying potential and did a good job after leading at Pakenham. Ballarat looks a suitable track for him.
