Racenet and Herald Sun form analyst Brad Waters analyses Thursday’s Bendigo meeting.

BEST BET
BRAVE EIGHT (Race 4 No. 2 – $6)
Pushed forward and tried hard when narrowly beaten on debut. He’s drawn well and will be harder to get past this time.

NEXT BEST
GYPSY COVE (Race 5 No. 6 – $6.50)
Looks much better suited back in maiden grade after a fair effort in town last start. He can improve sharply.

DREAMZEL (Race 6 No. 6 – $5.50)
Racing in terrific fashion in SA and should show her usual dash and be tough to run down again at Bendigo.

VALUE BET
HOTZEL (Race 10 No. 13 – $9)
Too good when resuming at Geelong and will be much better for that win. She can handle a class rise on Thursday.

THE JOCKEY
DAMIAN LANE
Top jockey Damian Lane will travel to Bendigo for a book of six rides at Bendigo on Thursday. BAND OF BROTHERS (Race 1 No. 20 – $4.80), SLEDDING (Race 2 No. 10 – $4), GALATH (Race 3 No. 13 – $2.60), BRANDNU DEAL (Race 5 No. 3 – $2), EZEIZA (Race 6 No. 12 – $4.40), HALLA DUBAI (Race 10 No. 4 – $8).
