PETER Miller was one punter cheering as loudly as Chris Waller and urging Winx to victory like Hugh Bowman today.

Miller who won a $50,000 bet courtesy of the TAB, the Australian Turf Club and The Daily Telegraph and after getting the ‘all clear’ from his wife, he plonked the money on Winx and the multiple Group 1 winner didn’t let him down.

The $50,000 bet was placed on the NSW TAB and Winx paid $1.70 so he walked away with an $85,000 collect.

The super mare wasn’t a difficult choice for Miller.

“Winx is the popular pick, the people’s horse, so that is where the money is,” Miller said.

“We also bought a lot of papers as well. It’s very nice from TAB and The Daily Telegraph to put this on.”
