The TAB Everest was dreamed up by Racing NSW boss Peter V’landys as Sydney’s answer to the Melbourne Cup. Since its inception in 2017, it has electrified the global industry and divided Australian racing.
But it’s the high stakes moves behind the scenes that really capture the imagination and make the race to get into The Everest as fascinating as the race itself.
By the time almost 50,000 people get trackside at Royal Randwick on October 14 the deal-making will be done and the race will be on.
