INSIDE MAIL - GOSFORD

RACE 1

Vadamos Queen was just held up behind the leader rounding the bend before getting cleat at the top of the straight when narrowly beaten by stablemate Moritz Girl over 1600m at Canberra two starts back. Appreciated stepping up to 2000m at the same course three weeks later to score an all-the-way win by two lengths. Single Crown was held up between runners before winding up late when a two length seventh to Loving Cilla in an 1800m Midway at Randwick two starts back before dropping back in trip when sixth at Hawkesbury last start. Should appreciate going to 2100m. Viadelamore is coming off a nice win over 2020m at Murwillumbah.

Bet: Vadamos Queen to win

His stablemate Kirikan settled last and was three-wide from the 800m when runner-up to Kaizad over 1400m at Warwick Farm on Oct 11. Bred to get over further and will appreciate stepping up in trip here. Exceed Perfection has placed at his last three starts and won’t be far away again. Game effort when a close second to Nondisclosure at Kembla last start.

Bet: Juriprudence to win

RACE 3

Mad Deel raced well in his first campaign including a smart win when coming from last at Kembla and a fifth to The Little Pumper at Randwick. Good speed in this race which will suit him. Reigning King was scratched from a wide gate Kensington on Wednesday to run here where he has drawn barrier 1. Beaten as an odds-on favourite when third to Spirit Of Varanasi first-up at Kembla before bouncing back with an all-the-way win over 1100m here on Oct 5. Great chance again. Pharoah Magic resumed as a gelding over 1200m at Kembla two weeks ago and led all-the-way to score an impressive three and a quarter length win from Joyrider.

Bet: Mad Deel each-way

RACE 4

Gold Dust was also scratched from Kensington to run here. Promising filly who was good on debut when third to Missouk over 1100m at Hawkesbury on Sept 7 before holding on for a narrow win from Until Valhalla over the same track and distance. Drawn ideally and will take beating. Pink Cashmere should have finished closer than the length and a quarter she was beaten by Rotorua at Kembla last start after being held up on the fence. There There followed two handy second placings with a break through win to run down Narrative over 1300m at Newcastle on Oct 10. Justela will be better over further but can run well first-up.

RACE 5

Narcissist is a Richard and Will Freedman-trained debutant by Menari. Got home well in his first trial at Rosehill on Sept 19 then closed nicely to win his Oct 3 heat. Drawn wide so may be saved for another day. Close Encounter bumped into a handy one on debut when runner-up to Grand Larceny who controlled the race up front while Close Encounter sat back on the fence and was held up until passing the 200m. He closed well to finish a length and a half off the winner. Brokerage is a Capitalist first starter. Led and just beaten by Influential in his Rosehill trial on Oct 13. Also has a wide draw to contend with. Royal Bombadier has had no luck his past couple of runs when caught wide. Drawn handy and can run a cheeky race.

Bet: Narcissist to win or, if scratched, Close Encounter to win

RACE 6

Waterski was an easing favourite on debut and had to do it tough three-wide without cover before finishing fifth behind Taormina at Warwick Farm on June 28. Tracked speed before closing off down the outside to win her Warwick Farm trial under a hold. Marchesi also raced wide without cover on debut when runner-up behind Le Parrain over 1000m here on Oct 5. Drawn gate 5 and should get a better run. First Person is better than her first-up run. Trials have been good and expect a much improved run. Invader Zim closed strongly from last along the fence when third to Captain Eagle in his Rosehill trial on Oct 3 and again hit the line nicely when second in his Oct 13 heat.

Bet: Waterski to win

RACE 7

Should appreciate getting to 1600m. Iverson worked into the race out wide but was no match for The Seven Seas who came off his back and raced away to score but Iverson did hold down second place at Newcastle last start. Wasn’t far of the placegetters at his previous two starts. Belleistic Kids is shooting for a hat-trick after wins at Moruya and Coonamble.

Bet: Roma Avenue to win

Her form early this year was very strong including a win over 1100m here on Dec 31 and followed up with a win at Randwick. Florida Sky is better than her last start at Warwick Farm when 11th to Fire Lane. Has claims on her first-up Newcastle win. Shotmaker has been trialling well without being pushed. Wide gate is the concern.

Bet: Lucky Variety to win
