RACE 5
Cassiel is a first starter by Harry Angel from Snowden stable. He has been terrific winning three of his four trials including both this time in. Drawn well and can make a winning start to his career. Ragga Ragga had trialled impressively to start a short-priced favourite on debut but failed behind Runwiththetide on the Kensington on Nov 1. She had some excuses and can be forgiven. Hasn’t been pushed in her two recent trials. Bethsheba is a debutant by Sooboog. Won two of her three trials and was untouched in her latest on the Beaumont on Feb 28.
Bet: Cassiel to win
RACE 6
All Too Rosey has placed five from 18 – all seconds – including three of her last five. Led at Newcastle two starts back when she beat all bar Wymark who has won again since before a fourth to Seafall at Rosehill on Feb 28. Spanish Fox was third to Cape Byron on debut here back on Jan 6. Tracked the leader when second to Wembanyama over 1400m at Kembla last start. High Dandy was spelled after pulling up lame on debut at Canterbury last June. Was doing his best work the last 100m when fourth to Midori Giant over 1600m at Kembla first-up on Feb 29.
Bet: All Too Rosey to win
RACE 7
Gardenzio is improving with racing. Battled away OK when fourth to Cape Byron at Newcastle with the third place Lockdown Gamble winning a Country Championship heat next start. Led all the way for a good win this track and trip last start. Does have a wide gate to overcome. Side Show followed two handy thirds on the Kensington with a smart maiden win under 58.5kg at Hawkesbury on Feb 13. Stepped up to a BM64 and carried 60kg when a length second to Satness at Kembla. His biggest hurdle is the wide gate. Street Candi has mixed form on paper but a couple of those runs were in strong company. She is unbeaten at the track and distance.
Bet: Gardenzio to win
RACE 8
Unstopabull was taken back from the outside gate and raced keenly in the early part but made up ground in the straight despite beating only two home behind Gold Revolver in an on-pace dominated race at Rosehill in Feb 28. Ran on to finish third to Confess Our Dreams when resuming on the Kensington two weeks earlier. Opal Fields was third to Unstopabull on debut at Kembla before a spell. Stormed home to a two-length maiden win at Newcastle first-up before a second to Ticklebelly at Goulburn. Dagon sat three-deep before taking the lead in the straight and going on to a smart win from Defying over 900m when resuming at Newcastle Feb 17.
Bet: Unstopabull to win
INSIDE MAIL: WAGGA
RACE 4
Prophet’s Magic was making a run along the rails from well back when held up until passing he 200m before finishing third at Canberra on debut before spelling after his next run. Held up turning for home when third to Wal’s Angel first-up at Moruya on Mar 3. Finn’s The Icon has placed in four of his five starts including a close second over the 1200m here at his second start. Will be at his peak after two runs back from a spell over 1000m. Hot Toddy was third at Cranbourne first-up on Jan 19 before joining the Darrell Burnet stable. Was doing his best work late when a length and a half sixth to Gundy Guy over 1000m here on Feb 8.
Bet: Prophet’s Magic to win
RACE 5
Trifecta Ruby resumed with a late closing finish to win her maiden from Final Crack over this track and distance on Feb 25. Followed up with a half-length second to Miller Time again over 1000m here on Mar 5. You Wish led but stayed one off the fence and showed plenty of fight to score an upset win at Queanbeyan on debut back on Jan 23. Sat three-wide in a field of four and kept trying when beaten less than a length by $1.20 favourite, Outback Angel, at Goulburn on Mar 1. Princess Halo will be improved by her first-up third to Free State at Goulburn on Mar 1.
Bet: Trifecta Ruby to win
RACE 6
Bridie’s Luck lead and kicked away in the straight for a near three length win from Mr Brown Fox over this track and distance when resuming on Feb 8. Settled back after a slow jump before working home OK for sixth to One Again My Girl in a Highway at Randwick last start. Drawn well and hard to beat. Ledecky’s Dream was having her first start for a new stable and appreciate an easier assignment to bat Free Market over the 1000m here on Feb 25. Will be thereabouts again. Miller Time is coming off an all-the-way win this track and distance
Bet: Bridie’s Luck to win
RACE 7
Our Frankie has been very good in her for starts this campaign since changing stables. Won her over 1300m here second-up then stepped up to 1600m when third to A Magic Gust. Dropped back top 1400m to beat Washington here last start and stays at the same trip. Lawyer’s Delight resumes from a spell without an official trial. Was a first-up winner at this track and distance in his second campaign and followed with a win at Goulburn. Never been worse than second in five starts at this trip and was just beaten by Xtrarevz this distance at Kembla last preparation. Just Like Liam drops back in grade from the SDRA Country Championship Qualifier. Narrowly beaten at Albury before that.
Bet: Our Frankie each-way
