Prancing With Fire left Victoria as winner over 1607m back in February. She has been good in both runs for her new stable with a first-up second at Ballina over 1300m and fourth to More Love over 1400m on the Gold Coast. Up to 1500m is ideal. Flyball has been just behind the placegetters in his two starts since a second to Agirlsbestfriend here on Sept 29. Was fifth behind Xtra Approval here last start. Dresden has claims on his last start win at Coffs Harbour.
Bet: Prancing With Fire to win
Aroha Stone was three-wide with cover when fourth behind Leantothemoon when resuming over 1100m at Hawkesbury. Was wide without cover when fourth to Lady Savannah over 1300m at Newcastle. Drawn to get a much better run and will give this a shake. Le Romain’s half-sister Miss Romain will benefit from her first-up second to Keep At ’Em at Scone. Finca settled last and was a little green on debut when fourth to Rennata over 1200m at Scone. She should appreciate the step up in trip.
Bet: Aroha Stone to win
Torn debuted with a handy second behind Don’t Forget Jack in the Star Kingdom at Muswellbrook in May before two unplaced runs in strong races at Doomben and Rosehill. Was a moth between runs when second to Photograph at Scone. Resumes off a handy trial. Missile Charm is a debutant by Smart Missile. Trialled nicely when third after racing wide throughout in her 940m Newcastle heat on Sept 25. Queen Calanthe debuts for a new stable. Narrow seconds at her past two starts at Nowra and Bathurst hold her in good stead for this.
Bet: Torn to win
Jo Jo Sun did it tough out three-wide when seventh to Don’t Doubt Merlin at Muswellbrook first-up. Was back and wide with cover when a half-length third to Bold As Love and In Summer at the same track last start. On an 11 day back-up and can give this a shake. Apache Breeze trialled nicely at Newcastle before his debut and kicked off with a good win from Paruna when coming along the inside rail at Muswellbrook on Nov 5. Exorealm battled away when fifth to Kaiyu here first-up.
Bet: Jo Jo Sun each-way
QUIRINDI INSIDE MAIL
Movin’ Denman has been close in all four runs this preparation, the latest a long neck second to Dehero over 1000m at Muswellbrook on Nov 3 after being kept wide outside the leader. Finally drawn a good barrier and can break through. Edge Of Midnight maintained a perfect second-up record when a win over Bianco Nero at Muswellbrook. Had to chase the tearaway Extreme Merger with 61kg when third there last start. Island Legend resumes for a new stable off a handy Newcastle trial. Has placed here.
Bet: Movin’ Denman to win
Missile Love battled away for fifth behind Zoubeauty over 900m first-up at Muswellbrook and returned last week when fourth behind Apache Breeze over 1000m. Up to 1200m which suits. Harsh Mistress is knocking on the door for a win after two close seconds since coming to NSW. Was beaten a nose by stablemate Ready To Mingle at Armidale over 1000m before another nose second to Volcanic Gold over 1400m at Moree. Wide gate the only query. Fort Jefferson and Devious Mind have place claims.
Bet: Missile Love to win
Gelsey returns to the races after two years off. She showed handy ability as a three-year-old when third to Proud Image at Hawkesbury before a third to High Blue Sea at Rosehill three weeks later. Closed nicely for third in her recent Scone trial. Toyger has been frustrating with nine placings from his 16 starts and going down as favourite in three of his last four. Most of those placings have been at the provincials. Won’t be far away again. Unreliable Critic has claims on his Moree placing.
Bet: Gelsey each-way
Magic Flyer is close to another win. Placed three of his last five including a second behind Awesome Tycoon at his first run here on Oct 28. Steps up to 1600m an won his only go at the trip. Mazita was trapped wide in a Highway at Randwick last start. Good second to Who Ever Thought in a Rosehill Highway before that. Jessandi worked home for fifth at her first run for a new stable before a third at Muswellbrook.
Bet: Magic Flyer to win
